INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Wash before using.
- Owala brand products are designed to be as
simple and easy to clean as possible. Best
practices for cleaning each part may vary. - Lids: All lids are top-rack dishwasher safe and
designed for easy cleaning. The spout gasket
should be removed by using the convenient
pull tab and cleaned separately. A sponge or
straw brush can be used to access the nook or
smaller spaces. Soaking the parts in distilled
white vinegar beforehand will help breakup
buildup in inaccessible areas. - Straws: The straws can be easily removed and
put in the dishwasher’s silverware bin. - Avoid accidental opening of the bottle by
keeping the button free and clear of other
objects. Cover the button with the loop to help
avoid accidental pushing of the button.
WARNINGS:
- Do not microwave, freeze, or boil.
- In order to minimize bacterial growth, do
not use to store warm dairy products, baby
food, or other perishable liquids. - Not for use with hot, carbonated, or
perishable liquids. - Altitude changes (such as during airplane
travel or while ascending mountains), or
exposure to hot temperatures (such as
leaving the bottle in a car on a hot day)
may cause pressure to build up in the
bottle and may cause the contents to
leak or spray when opening the bottle. To
prevent this, loosen the lid by a quarter turn
to release pressure; then retighten the lid
before drinking. - Pressurized contents may cause the spout
cover to open rapidly enough to injure
fingers positioned in or near the recess
behind the spout cover. - When opening the bottle, keep fingers away
from the recess behind the spout cover. - Always open with caution.

I recommend buying the 30oz Owala. While the idea of having a bigger water bottle seems better because you don't have to fill it up as often, it is impractical to take with you anywhere. I often just leave it in my car; otherwise, if you go to university or anywhere else that requires you to be out the whole day, it becomes a hassle and looks ridiculous. I had the FreeSip 32oz before, and there is a very large size difference. I end up never taking the water bottle with me and buying single-use water bottles, which defeats the purpose of buying a reusable water bottle. Unless you're a really tall person and don't have access to water refills throughout the day, the 30oz is enough.
I got the 40oz I love the size cause I always put ice in my bottles and it still feels like there's still lots of water in there. I do miss being able to drink out of my hydroflask with one hand (32 oz Wide Mouth Flex Straw Cap) by holding the tab thing on the mouth piece. But the whole reason I switched to the Sway was because I wanted a large bottle than could fit in a cup holder. All the other features are a huge bonus I especially like the large bucket handle. I would never have bought the original Owala bottle but I love the sway.
Stunning
This is the best Owala yet! It fits perfectly in a cup holder, a school bag and has a very convenient bucket-style handle, which makes it easy to use. It also has some of the same features as the OG FreeSip bottle with the built-in straw. I heavily recommend it due to the locking system, making it not able to pop open in my school bag, as the OG bottle has done so before.
All the features of the normal freesip but fits into a car cup holder (slay) and the handle is really comfortable to carry. No complaints, no regrets.
